JAPRA Technologies Unveils Plans for U.S. Solar Module Manufacturing Facility
New York, NY — February 9, 2026 — JAPRA Technologies Inc. today announced plans to establish a U.S.-based solar module manufacturing facility to deliver photovoltaic (PV) modules to the rapidly expanding utility-scale and commercial solar markets in the United States.
U.S solar deployment continues to accelerate: the U.S. Energy Information Administration (EIA) expects 69 gigawatts (GW) of solar capacity additions during its current forecast period and projects solar generation will increase by about 21% in both 2026 and 2027. Against this backdrop, JAPRA’s planned facility is designed to help developers, utilities, and EPCs reduce exposure to import-related volatility by expanding domestic supply options.
JAPRA’s manufacturing roadmap is structured to scale in phases, pairing disciplined capital deployment with commissioning milestones. Phase 1 is planned at 1.2 GW of PV module production capacity, with an expansion pathway to 6 GW at the proposed facility. The company also plans to build a complementary facility with a capacity of 10 GW to manufacture ground and canopy mounting metal structures.
“Project developers are increasingly focused on delivery certainty, bankable quality, and supply-chain transparency,” said Nikita Japra, senior strategic advisor to JAPRA Technologies. “This facility is designed to provide a U.S.-anchored manufacturing option that supports reliable procurement and long-term asset performance.”
“The U.S. market is also navigating shifting trade and tariff conditions for imported modules and cells,” Ms. Japra added. “Our objective is to build an operationally rigorous manufacturing platform that strengthens domestic supply and supports U.S. energy security goals, while meeting institutional expectations for governance and execution.”
JAPRA’s strategy is organized around three pillars:
- Domestic Supply-Chain Strengthening — Expanding U.S.-based manufacturing capacity to support energy security objectives and reduce reliance on overseas production.
- Scalable Production Architecture — A phased expansion model designed to align investment with market traction.
- Institutional-Grade Governance — Transparent reporting, disciplined financial controls, and a manufacturing footprint designed for long-term stakeholder confidence.
JAPRA is currently designing a highly-automated production line supported by a workforce plan focused on high-skill technical roles, local hiring, and on-the-job training. Phase 1 operation is slated to create 210 jobs at the facility.
The company is in active site evaluation and expects to share location and commissioning milestones in the coming weeks.
